The Story of Haspin Acres

Haspin Acres Off-Road & Motocross Park sits on 750 scenic acres of wooded hills in Laurel, Indiana, roughly halfway between Indianapolis and Cincinnati, and it has built a reputation as one of the Midwest’s premier destinations for off-road riders of every kind.

Haspin Acres

750 Acres, Open Every Day of the Year

What sets Haspin apart is the sheer scale of the place. The park offers countless miles of trails winding through wooded hills, with color-coded arrows marking difficulty levels — white for easy trails, blue for moderate, and orange or red for the toughest terrain, aptly nicknamed spots like “Devil’s Backbone.”

Haspin Acres is open 365 days a year, including every holiday. Riders show up in the dead of winter just as often as they do in the summer, because the park never really closes.

A Track for Racers, Trails for Everyone Else

The property’s mile-long motocross track was redesigned in the spring of 2019, with new jumps and features added and older roller sections like the “Dirty Dozen” removed to modernize the layout. The park doesn’t currently run an organized race program on the MX track, but it stays open daily year-round for practice on bikes and quads.

Alongside the motocross track sits a 300-foot loose dirt drag strip, timed with official PortaTree equipment. True bracket drag races, “Run What You Brung” events, and Outlaw Drag Races bring out everything from ATVs and UTVs to hand-crafted dirt dragsters and buggies.

More Than Just Riding

Beyond the trails and tracks, Haspin Acres has grown into a full destination. Riding fees include primitive camping, and the park has fishing ponds, a swimming area, and the Stone Hearth Grill serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner on weekends.

The event calendar includes Hair Scramble races, the annual Halloween 100, motocross events, and flat drag racing, drawing riders from across the region who come as much for the community and camping as for the competition itself.
