About Lawrence County Recreational Park

Lawrence County Recreational Park sits on nearly 400 acres in the scenic hills of southern Indiana, near Springville and about ten miles from Bedford, and it’s built around a simple idea — trails designed for riders, by riders.

Lawrence County Recreational Park

Trails for Every Skill Level

LCRP offers about 40 miles of marked ATV and single-track trails winding through rolling hills, meadows, wooded terrain, and ponds. The trails are designed for riders of every skill level, from beginners looking to build confidence to experienced riders chasing the kind of challenge that tests real ability.

Unlike a lot of off-road parks, LCRP keeps its trails exclusive to motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs. No trucks, sandrails, or buggies are allowed on the property, which means riders never have to worry about meeting or being overtaken by a large vehicle out on the trail.

A Memorial for the Riding Community

One of the most meaningful features at LCRP isn’t a trail at all. The Indiana Motorcycle Safety Memorial and Walk of Remembrance sits near the park entrance, recognized by the State of Indiana as an official state monument. It honors individuals who dedicated their lives to Indiana motorcycling.

In 2006, the Indiana Women’s Motorcycle Memorial was added to the site after James Yaney, the Ladies of Harley Chapter 1277, and HOG Chapter 1277 raised the funds to commission the design from Indianapolis artists Clyde Pennington and Ryan Feeny.

Training the Next Generation of Riders

LCRP is also home to off-road rider training through ABATE of Indiana’s dirt bike school, a hands-on program that has been used for years to train both law enforcement and military personnel in safe off-road riding techniques.

Between the trail network, the camping options, and its role as a training and memorial site, Lawrence County Recreational Park has grown into one of southern Indiana’s most complete stops for the off-road riding community.
