Hoosier Hilltoppers MX Park sits in Paris Crossing, Indiana, and it holds a distinction few tracks in the state can claim — it’s one of the last club-run motocross tracks left in Indiana.

Racing Since the Early 1970s

The Hoosier Hilltoppers M/C is a group of motocross riders who have been promoting races at this same location since the early 1970s. That’s more than five decades of the same club, running the same club-owned property, in an era where most tracks have long since been bought out, corporatized, or shut down entirely.

The track sits on natural terrain that flows across moderately hilly, clay-based ground, with some man-made jumps mixed into the landscape. Every dollar the club earns from its races goes straight back into improving the club and the property, keeping the operation entirely self-funded by the riders who race there.

A True Membership Club

Membership is capped at 50 riders, open to anyone in the area 18 years or older who enjoys motorcycles or motocross. Members are required to work at races and scheduled work sessions, but in exchange they get unlimited access to the club facilities and track year-round.

Club meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month at the track’s clubhouse, a tradition that has kept the Hilltoppers running as a genuine community organization rather than a commercial operation. The club is AMA sanctioned and continues actively recruiting new members to keep the tradition alive.

Racing the Way It Used to Be

With regular events on the calendar each season, Hoosier Hilltoppers has held onto a style of grassroots racing that’s become rare in modern motocross — a club of riders, running their own track, funding their own upkeep, and passing the tradition down to whoever’s willing to put in the work to be part of it.
